Whit Coleman BSN, RN, CCRC

Whit Coleman, BSN, RN, CCRC, is currently employed as a Project Manager at the Data Coordinating Center, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. Whit is a registered nurse who began working in research in 2008 coordinating pediatric industry-sponsored, NIH and investigator-initiated clinical trials at the University of Utah. Prior to this he worked clinically at Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. His experience in research has also led him to work as a clinical research nurse for the University of Utah Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) and site research coordinator for the NeuroNext network. Whit joined ACRP in 2015 and is a member of the Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter of ACRP and has assisted the chapter by mentoring others preparing for certification. Whit is a carrier for a rare autosomal recessive disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and has two children that have passed away from the disorder (Jonas and Maggie). He has been an active member in the SMA community by volunteering for the CureSMA foundation and reaching out to families who are newly diagnosed with SMA.
