Valerie Willetts RN, BSN, CCRA

Valerie Willetts, RN BSN CCRA is currently a Manager, Clinical Operations with PAREXEL International. She is a clinical research management professional with more than 2 decades of experience that includes training, mentoring and motivation of Clinical Operations teams while administering and executing development plans including risk based monitoring.

She is the Founder and Past President of ASKA Research and has monitored and managed clinical/medical research trials for academia, pharmaceutical and biotech companies as well as provided clinical research outsourcing and CRO services in North America and worldwide through strategic alliance partners.

Valerie has an extensive background in delivering face to face and online clinical research training workshops, project and protocol-specific orientations, and custom designed seminars on ICH/GCP Guidelines and Project Management. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia, a Registered Nursing designation (Honors) and is a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). She is Past Chair of the ACRP Board of Trustees (2011) and has held many volunteer positions with ACRP in order to give back to the clinical research profession including Chapter Chair of Canada, Chapter Chair of North America, as well as serving on several committees including Global Conference Planning, Ethics, Finance and Regulatory Affairs. Val is a firm believer in the basic philosophy of giving from the heart – the returns are tangential!
