Tonya Edvalson graduated summa cum laude with a double bachelors of science degree in Sociology and Behavioral Science of Health at the University of Utah. She also received an Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation. She has eight years of experience as a compliance and regulatory coordinator, working with investigators and research coordinators involved in women and newborn health at the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to that, she was an IRB administrator and research compliance officer at the University of Utah and the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, respectively. Ms. Edvalson is a Certified Clinical Research Professional through the Society of Clinical Research Professionals (SoCRA). She has served on multiple committees and presented on various research ethics and good clinical practice topics through her local ACRP chapter and the Society of Research Administrators.
