Clinical Research Coordinator, Ochsner Health Systems

After receiving a Bachelor's degree from the University of Akron, Stephanie spent 4 years as a Research Assistant in the department of Colorectal Surgery at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. In 2007 she took a position as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Ochsner Health Systems in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has covered studies in numerous therapeutic areas including: oncology, pediatrics, surgery, and orthopaedics. The majority of her time in New Orleans has been spent building the Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute research program from 1 open study to more than 40 concurrent studies. She has successfully conducted research studies with both the NFL and NBA. She is regularly consulted by physicians across the Ochsner System and by industry sponsors for her input on study design, protocol writing, and implementation logistics. She has designed and written over a dozen protocols ranging from blinded, interventional studies to simple chart reviews, such as the one being presented. She recently switched her focus back to Colon and Rectal Surgery research. She lives in New Orleans and loves crawfish pie.
