Rachel Stanley

Rachel M Stanley MD, MHSA is the Principal Investigator of the GLEMSCRN Node of PECARN. Dr. Stanley is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan in the Department of Emergency Medicine. The focus of her research is practice pattern variation in emergency department (ED) settings and changing emergency medicine practice according to evidence based guidelines. She is also interested in access to care and the uninsured. Dr Stanley earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut and fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Boston. She received her Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan in 2002, and has been a faculty member at the University of Michigan since 2000 working clinically both at the University and at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
