Mika Sakoda RN, MMedSc, CRA, CCRC

Specially Appointed Researcher, Osaka University

My first experience to take part in clinical trials was 2010. I was a CRC with registered nurse background. In April 2013, I matriculated at a graduated school because I had wanted to learn more about medical science and bioethics. My professor gave me a chance to work with PIs as a monitor. Now, I am an academic monitor with approximately three years of experience, and planning to research into clinical trials environment in Japan.

Clinical trials make me think about human rights. Finding better ways to protect patient volunteers and avoid exploitation in clinical trials is my subject of study.
