Matthew Wagener is the Associate Director of CRO Operations for US Oncology Clinical Development. He first came to US Oncology to manage trial development for the US Oncology Research GI, Lung, and Hematology programs. With the addition of the Radiation Research Committee and the RTOG program, he also led trial development of industry and investigator sponsored studies outside of RTOG. With the launch of US Oncology Clinical Development as a separate division of US Oncology, Matthew led business and clinical development efforts for the division. Currently as the Associate Director of CRO Operations he has responsibility over clinical and business operations, and business development. Prior to joining US Oncology, Matthew managed clinical research for the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. At UTMB he worked on a variety of clinical trials including drug, device, and biologic. His oncology experience began at MD Anderson Cancer Center working in the Department of Radiation Oncology researching radiation sensitizing affects of EGFR inhibitors and molecular imaging of inhibitors and tumors. He received his degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
