Mary K. Clancy, MSN CCRC, CIP is the Director, Research Protections, The Methodist Hospital Research Institute, Houston, TX. Ms Clancy has oversight of the two biomedical IRBs, the Institutional Biosafety and Hazardous Substance Committees, IACUC and Conflict of Interest reporting. Ms. Clancy’s research experience was gained at Nemours, a pediatric health system located in Florida and Delaware, as a clinical research coordinator, research auditor, Research Protection Program Manager, and IRB member. Ms. Clancy coordinated the successful AAHRPP accreditation at that site. She earned her BSN from the University of Florida in 1975 and a MSN, Clinical Nurse Specialist, degree from the University of Miami, FL in 1983.
