For over 20 years, she has worked extensively in clinical research conducting large global/multi-national phase I-IV clinical trials. She has significant experience in protocol writing, CRF design, and managing monitoring activities. She has supervised studies in Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, Diabetes mellitus, HIV, migraine, dermatology, pediatric asthma; skin, lung, colon, breast, head and neck, and gastric cancer, contrast medium, Parkinson’s disease, ulcerative colitis, medical devices, chronic pain, bipolar disease, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, schizophrenia, etc. She has a strong academic background and wide experience in clinical research management and operations. She is an analytical and versatile thinker, effective in carrying out ideas and extensive study protocols and projects, both locally and internationally. Dr. Llopiz coordinated and participated in an international seminar at the 5th Latin American Conference on Clinical Trials in August 18-20, 2010 in Buenos Aires Argentina. She has been asked to join AMEIFAC´s Board of Directors for the 2010-2011 period and is currently the President Elect for the biennial 2011-2013. She presented at the 7th Latin American Conference in Clinical Research in Sao Paolo Brazil on November 10th- 12th, 2010, served as part of the Scientific Committee and chaired a session. In 2010, she was recognized as one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life-Sciences Industry by the readers of PharmaVoice and the first Latin American honoree. She has been selected again in 2011 – the only Latin American woman to be recognized for two consecutive years. She currently occupies an executive management position at an international contract research organization specializing in clinical operations, logistics, sales of services, staff management, business development and public relations nationwide and internationally.
