Marilyn Cassell RN, CCRA

Ms. Cassell is currently a Senior Regional Clinical Research Associate for Stryker Corporation in their Spine Division focused on various Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) studies. Prior to joining Stryker, she worked as a Clinical Research Study Manager for DePuy Orthopaedics, a Johnson & Johnson company. Marilyn began her nursing career working in a small, local hospital in southern Michigan. Then in 1984, she became a Case Manager for Aetna Health Plans. In addition to case management, her professional experience ranges across areas of utilization management, disease management, reimbursement strategies, orthopedic clinical research, quality and process improvement activities, and effective healthcare claims administration and member services. She has provided consulting services to a variety of organizations including hospitals, health plans, and physician organizations. Over the years, she has spoken at national, state and local conferences on various topics concerning Case Management and the Patient Continuum of Care. In 2006, she received her Clinical Research Associate certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She is currently a member of the ACRP Device Special Interest Group.
