Lloyd gained a PhD in biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics in 1977 and has over 30 years experience from large pharmaceutical companies (Hoechst, Glaxo) and Phase I/II CROs (Covance, Quintiles), primarily in the field of preclinical-to-clinical ADME and early clinical drug development. He is a regular speaker at conferences both in Europe and the USA on pharmacokinetics related topics. Lloyd has been a Principal Scientist at Pharmaceutical Profiles for four years and has developed the company's capabilities in the pharmacokinetic aspects of drug and formulation development including the application of microdosing concepts and accelerator mass spectrometry analysis in early clinical development.
