Laurin Mancour is the Program Director for the Clinical Trials Research Associate (CTRA) program at Durham Technical Community College. She has held many diverse industry roles, ranging from preclinical investigations to pharmaceutical and device clinical research. She has been a study coordinator, a monitor, an IRB safety associate, and a research educator. Laurin is passionate about research education and was the inaugural winner of the ACRP Advancing Awareness in Clinical Research award in 2011. She served as president of her local Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) chapter for the last 3 years in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.
