Katherine Sward, PhD, RN, FAAN is a Professor in Nursing and Biomedical informatics at the University of Utah (U of U). She has served on the IRB for the past 10 years. Her research encompasses informatics methods and technologies that support clinical and translational research; including data management and harmonization, decision support systems, and technologies such as electronic health records, mobile health apps, and sensors. Dr. Sward has collaborated with the U of U Data Coordinating Center for more than 15 years and is a co-investigator overseeing research informatics for the Utah Trial Innovation Center.
