Josiana Limones-Isenor is Director of the Norton Cancer Institute Research Program in Louisville, KY. The Norton Cancer Institute encompasses all comprehensive cancer services of Norton Healthcare, a not-for-profit healthcare system serving both the adult population with its four hospitals as well as serving children with its freestanding pediatric hospital. Norton Cancer Institute is committed to the prevention, treatment, clinical research and cure of cancer. She is responsible for the guidance, development and growth of Norton’s cancer clinical research program. Norton Cancer Institute Research program currently has 60 research studies open (30 of which are actively accruing) with over 300 patients currently enrolled or in follow-up. Additionally, Josiana is a co-chair for the National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Center Program (NCCCP) Clinical Trials Sub-committee and the Norton Cancer Institute NCCCP Co-lead for both the Clinical Trial and Biospecimen programs.

Josiana’s experience spans over nine years of clinical research experience including Phase I to Phase III clinical research within an international Clinical Research Organization, independent research facility, and hospital-based research.

Prior to joining Norton, Josiana was Associate Director of Clinical Research Operations for Centurion Clinical Research in Indianapolis, Indiana conducting Phase I to Phase III renal, hepatic, endocrine, and PK oncology trials. Previously Josiana was a home-based Regional Clinical Research Associate for MDS Pharma Services Global Clinical Development Division (recently acquired by INC Research); monitoring Phase III pediatric studies conducted at facilities throughout the Midwest and East Coast. Prior experience includes Manager of Data Management and Clinical Study Manager for MDS Pharma Services Early Clinical Development (now Celerion Clinical Research) working on Phase I healthy trials in collaboration with research departments/staff based in New Jersey, Louisiana, Nebraska, Canada, Ireland, and Germany. Josiana supervised research teams and managed research staff responsible for over 70 trials at varying stages of execution. Personally executing over 20 research trials (with up to 120 active patients per trial) in the following areas: high volume QTc, complex pharmacokinetic (PK) and/or pharmacodynamic (PD), multi-site (local and international), neurological (requiring lumbar punctures or cognitive function testing), ophthalmic, cardiovascular, and controlled substance investigational products.
