Joanne B. Krasnoff , Ph.D. received her M.S. and Ph.D. from Indiana University in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Dr. Krasnoff has over twenty years of clinical research experience spanning the many roles from graduate research assistant and Clinical Research Coordinator at Indiana University to Project Director and Manager of the Exercise Physiology & Body Composition Lab at the University California San Francisco’s General Clinical Research Center and subsequently their Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Dr. Krasnoff currently works for both the Miami CTSI, as well as the Miller School of Medicine’s Office of Research, Research Education and Innovative Medicine (RIM). In her Miami CTSI role, she is the Program Manager for Participant and Clinical Interactions (PCI) which is 1) establishing and implementing a harmonized network of locations for patient oriented research and 2) creating process improvement programs to enhance education, training competency, career development, and productivity for research support staff. Dr. Krasnoff also is the Operations Manager of the Miller School of Medicine’s Clinical and Translational Research site (CTRS, formerly the Clinical Research Center). In this role, Dr. Krasnoff ensures the CTRS provides an efficient and effective environment (i.e. facility, staffing, equipment) for the conduct of high quality clinical research.
