Harvey Arbit

President, Arbit Consulting, LLC

Dr. Harvey Arbit’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, a PharmD, and an MBA as well as a residency in clinical hospital pharmacy.

He has over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries where he held director and vice president level positions in the areas of regulatory affairs, clinical research, quality assurance, and product development.

Harvey joined the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center in 2002. He has served as the Director of the IND/IDE Assistance Program and the Leader for Regulatory Knowledge and Support in the Academic Health Center’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute. He was responsible for the IND/IDE Assessment Program in the Research Integrity and Oversight Programs in the Office of the Vice President for Research. He currently is adjunct professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Arbit is president of Arbit Consulting, LLC, specializing in regulatory strategy and support for industry, academia, and investigator-initiated clinical research. He also is a relief pharmacist for Target Pharmacies.

Dr. Arbit has his Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) through RAPS and his Clinical Research Certification (CCRP) through SoCRA. He has served as a board member and officer of SoCRA.
