Elizabeth Jay MA

Ms. Jay has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing gained in 1988 from Alverno College and was awarded a Master of Arts in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000. She has a broad range of therapeutic experience developed over her nearly nine years as a staff nurse in adult and pediatric intensive care units.

As a research professional, she has functioned in multiple roles. She began her research career as a study coordinator for pediatric cardiology trials at an academic site. She then obtained a position as a clinical research associate with Wyeth Laboratories, and was promoted to Senior CRA during her years there. She next functioned as an independent contract CRA at her own corporation, Southcoast Clinical Research Associates, before accepting her current position as a clinical trial manager for Premier Research Group.

With experience gained over her 12 years in the industry, Ms. Jay has acquired extensive knowledge of the clinical trials process within research site, pharmaceutical, and CRO environments. She has a wealth of experience spanning a range of therapeutic areas, clinical trial phases, and functions. Through her various roles, Ms. Jay has given special attention to the monitoring process and has substantially contributed to process improvement within this function. She has also authored an on-line article about pediatric consent issues in research as a resource for parents.

Ms. Jay's range of industry experience, clinical experience and therapeutic knowledge from nursing are a significant asset to her current position at Premier Research Group Ltd, where she manages pediatric studies.

Ms. Jay has been a full member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals since 1999 and became a Certified Clinical Research Associate in 2006.
