Dorian Williams is a Professor and Medical Director of the West Virginia University Clinical and Pharmacologic Research Center (WVUCPRC). He is Board Certified in Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has been a Certified Physician Investigator since 2004. He has over 30 years experience in industry sponsored clinical research working in a phase 1 clinical trial unit. He has worked for CPR (Clinical and Pharmacologic Research) 1982-2002, Kendle International 2003-2010, INC Research 2010-2012, and WVUCPRC 2012-present. He has been the Medical Director of the unit since 2003 and the Interim Director of Operations on two occasions. Has been the co-Investigator or Principal Investigator in over 750 trials with responsibility for all aspects of conducting each trial including regulatory, recruiting, screening, execution of studies, and management of adverse events. Areas of special expertise include BA/BE studies, controlled substances and transdermal applications. He has extensive experience interacting with Sponsors and FDA. In addition Dr. Williams has won numerous teaching awards including the WVU Foundation Award for Outstanding Teaching, the highest recognition for teaching at West Virginia University.
