Derek Shenefelt is a Clinical Research Associate at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. Derek has been with BioFire Diagnostics since 2013 and has previously held research positions at Sorenson Genomics, Myriad Genetics, and the University of Utah. Derek holds a BS in Zoology from Weber State University and a MA in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from Rice University. He has co-authored research articles in PLoS ONE, Theranostics, the Journal of Nanomedicine & Nanotechnology and presented his research at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections and the Western Society for Pediatric Research.
