Debra Henninger serves as Operations Manager of Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies (CCS), and she is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Center, including management of core clinical and administrative research coordinators and support staff. She oversees collaboration with physician investigators to conduct clinical trials throughout Geisinger Health System, which includes management of trial activities from receipt of study opportunity through closure. She collaborates with clinical, ancillary and research administration leaders, investigators and research staff to optimize clinical trials processes and promote and disseminate clinical research best practice throughout Geisinger Health System.
Prior to joining the Center for Clinical Studies in 2001, Deb obtained research experience through coordination of clinical research and quality improvement activities in Geisinger's Pulmonary and Neurology Departments. She has more than thirty years of clinical experience with a primary focus in chronic and acute pulmonary disease management. Deb earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Penn State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Health Services Administration at Marywood University. She has maintained her Clinical Research Coordinator Certification through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals since 2000.
