Cindy Paulsen, BA has been the Deputy Director of the Midwestern Regional Office (MWRO), Office of Research Oversight (ORO), in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) since 2001. Previous to working in the VA, she was responsible for research regulatory compliance at the University of Chicago for over 15 years. She has expertise in human subject protection, laboratory animal welfare, and research safety and security. She worked several years as a Data Manager in Hematology/Oncology and is a previous presenter at SRA, PRIM&R, and ACRP.
