Christopher Allen MD, FRCA, FFPM

Chris Allen trained in medicine at Kings College London and then qualified as an anesthesiologist. He joined MSD in the U.K in 1991 where he held positions of increased responsibility in clinical research and medical affairs. Chris moved to the US in 1997 as Senior Medical Director, Migraine and published widely in headache research. He then joined the Merck-Schering Plough partnership for three years, with responsibility for international Medical Affairs and Clinical Research activities for cholesterol lowering with ezetimibe and ezetimibe-simvastatin. He is currently responsible for international phase IV clinical research and investigator initiated studies at Merck. Chris is Vice President of International Affairs for the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and President of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Physicians.
