Senior Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Carolann has over eight years of experience as a registered nurse and started her career in a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she found her passion for critical care. In 2010, Carolann transitioned into a career focusing on research. She began her research career as a research coordinator for Penn State Hershey College of Medicine. While doing so, she decided she definitively wanted to pursue a career in clinical research. In 2011, she started working as a clinical research nurse coordinator at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Division of Critical Care Medicine. Her expertise includes research in children who experience cardiac and or respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and septic shock. She now serves as a research nurse coordinator for the NICHD sponsored Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
