Cara Krulewitch PhD

Dr. Cara Krulewitch is a nurse-midwife and epidemiologist. She is a Team Leader for the Division of Epidemiology at the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health. She graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1992 where she received her PhD in Perinatal Epidemiology and from the State University of New York, Stonybrook where she received her certificate in nurse-midwifery in 1997. She has held a number of positions in the Department of Health and Human Services including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health. Prior to her position at FDA, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. Krulewitch has numerous publications and presentations and awards in the areas of maternal-child health and intimate partner violence.
