Ms. Hobbs is a registered nurse with over 19 years of clinical research experience including monitoring and project management. She was a Clinical Trial Monitor with Genentech and served as a Quality Control Evaluator for contract CRAs prior to becoming Region Manager. Previously she held the position of Medical Research Coordinator (CRA equivalent) with Merck and Co. As a Senior Study Director with Westat she was the team leader for the protocol access and referral team for the Cancer Trials Support Unit, and was the project manager and senior monitor for the Statistical and Data Management Support for the Adolescent Medicine HIV/AIDS Research Network. She began her research career as a study coordinator in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at the University of California - San Francisco. Prior to entering research Brigid worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings including inpatient oncology and HIV, intensive care and home health care. She received her BSN from the University of Missouri - Columbia. She volunteers with the Fairfax Medical Reserve Corps in Northern Virginia.
