| Barbara Pennington, MS, RN is the Program Coordinator and teaches full time in the Clinical Research Program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The UNCW program includes Bachelors and Masters’ degrees in Clinical Research. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from GA State University and was a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry before moving into research full time. Barbara has 25 years of experience in clinical research beginning as a research nurse and then moved to the CRO industry in roles including CRA/monitor, clinical training manager and Director of Government Services. Barbara has developed and presented programs for clinical research site personnel throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and South America as well as in the US. |
