Alex is a Certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma with an M.Sc. in Strategic Quality Systems - Lean Six Sigma and an MBA from the University of Limerick in Ireland.
Before setting up McLaw in 2003 with his partner Paula, he spent over 20 years delivering exceptional results as a senior manager (CEO, GM, MD, VP) in a wide variety of multinational and domestic organizations.
As an entrepreneur, Alex has built 3 different international businesses which he subsequently sold on to larger organizations.
Along with his colleagues at McLaw & Associates he is a master practitioner in Operational Excellence, the art and science of making organizations effective, efficient, rewarding places to work and where being a customer is a joy.
Alex has led a number of major operational excellence deployment programs and is passionate about developing Operational Excellence as a core competence in organizations, particularly in the service and knowledge worker sectors.
By working with organizations from the CEO to the front line teams to build and develop their operational/execution competencies, he has helped organizations dramatically improve their productivity, effectiveness, quality, customer service, risk profile and execution, achieving exceptional results in relatively short time frames.
