Mr. Adam Simmons MPH, CCRC

Children's Hospital Boston

Mr. Simmons joined Children’s Hospital Boston in October 2008. As manager of clinical research development and operations he is responsible for managing and mentoring a team of project managers, data managers and research coordinators. He also develops guidelines for regulatory compliance and best practices for clinical research for hospital compliance programs. Mr. Simmons directs seminars, conduct lectures, and prepare educational materials as part of the Clinical Research Program’s educational efforts and leads the development of Clinical Research Practice Guidelines to ensure best practices for clinical research conducted at Children's Hospital. He also prepares training materials on quality assurance as a part of the Clinical Research Program’s educational efforts. Mr Simmons serves as a voting member on the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Institutional Review Board and on the steering committee for the Children's Hospital Clinical and Translational Study Unit (Harvard's Pediatric CTSA unit). Mr. Simmons has a MPH in epidemiology from Emory University. He worked as a clinical research project coordinator through the Department of Orthopaedics at the Emory University School of Medicine managing several industry sponsored trials in othopaedics, spine and sports medicine. He has been certified as a clinical research coordinator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals since 2006.
