Aaron H. Chan is Recipient of the 2012 ACRP Innovation in Clinical Research Award. Based in Chicago, Illinois, he is currently Senior Clinical Research Associate with GlaxoSmithKline, plc. Aaron was recognized for his contributions to the development of efficient and effective processes for study site management especially in terms of technology approaches. As a regional CRA responsible for monitoring clinical research sites in multiple therapeutic areas, he created a widely used application to more efficiently perform accountability and reconciliation of Investigational Products at study sites. The program effectively saves up to 75% of the time of a previously laborious manual process. He achieved CCRA certification in 2004. Aaron first worked for one of GlaxoSmithKline's predecessor companies, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, in St Louis, Missouri in the late 1990s. He earned his Bachelors degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
