Paul Papagni is a healthcare/compliance executive with a foundation in the practice of law. His distinguished career includes successfully managing clinical research and IRB operations at four of the top US medical and research institutions; Cleveland Clinic, Columbia University, UMDNJ and most recently the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. His diverse expertise has allowed him to effectively collaborate across departmental boundaries to improve policies as well as create process efficiencies and furthermore, has led to advisory roles on a number of committees including Conflict of Interest Committee, Research Billing Oversight, Research Compliance, Information Security, Tissue Banking, Molecular Testing, ESCRO, and Privacy among others. A nationally recognized expert in the areas of research compliance and human subject protection, Mr. Papagni is a frequent industry speaker for such organizations as HCCA, DIA, PRIMR, ACRP, SOCRA, ASCP. He has played an integral part in developing best practice workshops and conferences for MD Anderson Cancer Center as well as the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and has been responsible for educational and compliance guidance for GCP, ICH, HIPAA and FDA concerns, including 21 efr 11 validation. Mr. Papagni brings over 30 years of experience to his recent appointment as Head of Clinical Administration for CTNeT. He received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts.
