Dr. McAllister is a Scientist in the Cancer Research department of California Pacific Medical Center. He earned his doctoral degree in pharmacology and toxicology from the Medical College of Virginia Commonwealth University. His early research focused on the interactions of compounds in cannabis, termed cannabinoids, with their endogenous receptors. His current research primarily focuses on studying the endocannabinoid system's role in controlling cancer cell proliferation, survival, invasion and metastasis.
