Lack of diversity in study subjects' recruitment impacts the generalizability of research findings. Evaluating the research team diversity and backgrounds will inform study design and recruitment strategies. In turn, this will increase the diversity among recruited subjects and make research findings more generalizable and applicable to all populations.

  • Objective 1: Recognize how lack of diversity among research personnel impacts the generalizability of research findings.
  • Objective 2: Apply that knowledge to study design and research team structure to increase diversity in subject recruitment.
  • Objective 3: Evaluate their existing research team backgrounds and how to leverage that to augment patient enrollment and increase the generalizability of their findings.
